PSU Wins National Volleyball Title, Vontae Davis Declares for Draft, and Other Random Thoughts

  • Div I NCAA VOLLEYBALLCongrats to PSU on winning the national title. The team only lost two sets all year (both to Nebraska on Thursday), and is being hailed as the greatest college team ever. Sure the title match was nearly as entertaining as PSU semi-final game against Nebraska (which was damn near epic), and yeah it was a bit anti-climactic, but that wasn’t the Nitanny Lions fault.
  • Illini cornerback Vontae Davis Declared for the NFL Draft today and is considered the best CB on the board. No surprise that he decided to skip his senior year, especially after the turd of a season Illinois just had.
  • Michigan’s former D-Coordinator Ron English has just signed on to take over the Eastern Michigan program. English clearly would have been a much better hire that Rich-Rod. But then again after the worse season in school history it would be hard to argue that I wouldn’t have been a better hire than Rich-Rod.
